While I visited our friend Lou recently, I decided to capture a few photos. Needless to say, he’s changing things up for the 2012 season. More to come…

You might recognize this name, you might not. Some people know my as the guy from Cali who mainly wears black, none of that gothic shit. I’ve been ready to do some type of an intro or any piece for the Stout just haven’t felt like the ideas have been up to par. In between a new job change, A close friend from Jersey flying out to visit me, an whatever else life throws at me I just haven’t had the time to sit down and focus on a piece that would let you into a little of who I am an my current state of mind. I was mainly asked by Mr. Stairs and Mr. Garcia to be a solid contributor to this blog. With that being said my mind was undoubtedly blown, I’ve never put myself, nor my hobbies above anyone else so to think that people that inspire me to the current day would ask me to have a input on their collective project still hasn’t hit me yet.
That’s neither here nor there, if you don’t know me or seen my photography that sucks. I’m Brandon Jordan, 22 years old, I rep the Leftcoast (Cali). The Euro scene out here is less then active. It took my friend Mike Barry by surprise on his flight out here; he now knows what I’m up against. Now there may be a lack of cars, but the quality is still definitely there. Couple of the OG’s are around, I love seeing that more than anything. To think you could still stay around a car you might have grown up with is a wonderful feeling. To stay interested in it the same as you did the day you first laid eyes on it is an even greater feeling. I’m someone that usually keeps to themselves, not saying that I don’t socialize with people within the scene. I’ve had the honor to meet plenty of people who are still in “The Game” and some that aren’t anymore. To tell you that these people mean the world to me would be an understatement. I’ve had the honor to fly out to Florida to attend simply clean with Dehate, Madface, and a couple others. Not to bluntly say that you will always be friends with everyone in the car game. But the world will keep turning and you still have to find your way to happiness in life, you lose some, you win some. I find balancing the internet life with actual life works best, I see wayyyy to many people caring wayyyy to much about what people on the other end of a keyboard think about a car they might not ever see. I might not be into custom wide bodies, maybe even a big turbo build, but I will never discredit someone who does.
Everyone has to have their favorite part of modding a car, just because it doesn’t match what you think it should is not even close to being a legitimate reason to put down their work. Now I can see if it’s a poorly done car by all means I’m all for putting that down, but something someone created with their hard work that turns out well done should always be rewarded. The key to any car community is diversity, and quality, same as in life. The more we force each other to conform the less the community as a whole is worth, my whole key aspect of it all that pulled me into vw’s was that everyone has their own style and outlook. So for this show season, take a step back away from the list of car parts you want and goals you think you should meet. Appreciate the people who stood by you to get where you are, handed you the wrench you needed in a pinch. The friend who stood out in the freezing cold to help you get that one shot of a car. Anything of that nature, those people are why the VW community is so special. That an, shaving everything for no reason and running a staggered wheel setup on a FWD car for no reason lol. Here’s a small video Mike Barry did on my car as I did a quick wash, I love the simplicity to it. Thanks Mike!
