To be honest when I first heard a local kid was building a set of RS’s with four inch lips I was skeptical and extremely eager to see if they could be pulled off on his MK4 golf. But when someone is this determined, not much can stop them.





After having the car re-sprayed a couple seasons before, the fenders still remained stock. Lenny purchased a set of Alphards and intended on running them with his weitec coilover setup that he currently had in the car. Before the car even saw pavement he knew in the back of his mind this is not what he wanted. Lenny already had purchsed a pair of 4″ RS lips, knowing that one day he would obtain the rest of the pieces to puzzle. The first step was to sell the color matched Alphards to fund his air setup. Once this was complete he enjoyed the car for about half the season with air and stock wheels.


Shortly after he came across a deal for some RS parts he could not pass up. He promptly got them together and on the car. Originally it did take some convincing with a baseball bat to make the rears cooperate. Still not happy with how the car was sitting at that point it all came back apart and sent back for more body work and paint. He was happy with the aggressive fitment, he just wanted to have the rear arches match the stretch of the tire. Locals Timmy and Louie who are known for some amazing paint work in the area took on the job. While the car was getting resprayed he removed the interior to add a little color to the mix. The wheels were dropped off to our good friend Blake to come apart once again for a repolish and to color match the faces to the interior.





To perfect his color choice he brought swatches from the interior shop to a local dunkin donuts, where he knew there would be plenty of girls who were quite familiar with what a Tiffany’s jewelry box looked like. Once their decision was made the interior and wheels came together rather quickly.


So this is where Lenny stands now. Expect to see more of this car, he has some big plans to address the bay very soon.
