This is my rant,

Lately I’ve been getting much more frustrated on my morning commute then usual. The traffic, those horrible electric commuter cars that do nothing but get in the way and provide a place for a pompous hippie to text,talk,drink and do everything but drive in there bland,flat,dangerously ugly, utterly ridiculous P word crap cars.This forces me to try and focus on the driving and not pay attention to any of these wankers. In doing so I end up thinking of many many……Fuck a prius just drove by my window and ruined my concentration, See these things will be the death of Rad cars. Anyways back to my point, I have a decent drive to and from work so on this drive I often think about the state of the Auto industry because Cars are truly one of my biggest passions, they always have and always will be. This is what truly makes me worried,scared petrified of what may become of my beloved four wheeled machines. If you think about it right now during our economic downfall our credit crisis our roller coaster of a stock market it seems as if the Automakers have been pushing the limit’s more then ever,Cars are producing more power looking incredible (Except those horrible electric cars) and seemingly getting better and better with every model change, Yes I know that’s obvious but, with the recent Bill’s being passed and the required Fuel Consumption ratings that are going to set new standards I can’t help but think the possibility or almost inevitably of these type of cars not being made for long. Similar to the old muscle car era and how that ended, my question is do we have our generations golden age of cars in front of us right now? Is it going to end with cars like the 1M,STI’s,The new Pagani Huayra? (Which has already been denied access into the US due to an airbag/child issue)

I’m basically just scared that we have it made right now and things are only going to tank from here at almost any given moment. I feel as if the American brands will be forced onto us, to many strict rules on Import automakers…This is my fear, having no choice but to drive a stupid electric battery crap box with a bright blue oval attached to the hood.

I drive an 89 Fox to work everyday and I absolutely love it. It gets dam good gas milage and passes electric hippies on a daily basis. I would rather drive that then a brand new piece of Electricboogaloo junk!! Something that has a bit of nostalgic value to it, something with a bit of soul (Okay your right an 89 Fox Wagon doesn’t have the soul of a Ferrari F40 but it’s got more soul then something with a battery for a heart)

I’m just afraid, What we have in front of us may be the end. Rules will get tougher,cars will get slower and more bland. Let’s hope I’m dead wrong. Let’s hope I’m proven wrong. Let’s hope the souls aren’t sucked out of the entire car industry. There’s other means to saving the planet, other means of transportation other resources. Fine fine your doing it for the kids, I was a kid once and I still refuse to drive a battery.

Back to Vw’s and cool shit soon, I just needed to vent.
