Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few months you probably know the community lost a loved one when Alexi Derochambeau passed away earlier this year. This past show season seemed to fly by, but at every show the memory of Alexi was strong. The great contributions and support from everyone is inspiring to see. Stickers, shirts and of course the never ending support from his friends and family allowed everyone a chance to see his car in person and provided another chance to remember Alexi.

I don’t know everything nor will I ever but I do know that this thing we have inside us, This passion for these German hunks of metal provides us the opportunity to meet new people, and make life long friends. This passion allows us to share memory’s that will last forever. I always preach it’s more then the cars and I fully believe that. This thought I have I share with lots of people. Two of those people that know there is much more to this whole thing we do then the cars are Dan Crosley & Mike Simonds. They recently made the trek into GengLand to visit a place I’m rather familiar with DarkStar Tattoo.

The trip wasn’t just to hang out and eat the craziest Steak Plates ever! It served a purpose, That purpose was to get tattooed with an image that will last forever. Both had rad ideas.

In life we meet all kinds of people, Some you love, some that won’t matter for longer then there time in front of you. However some make a lasting impression, some create such a profound impact that they will never go away, through out this year on a few occasion’s I think we all felt the impact Alexi had in our coast to coast community. He will always be remembered by his friends and family and they won’t let anyone forget how much he means to them. That is an impact worth having.
